The Baby Room

We could not believe how much stuff we had stored in the second bedroom of the townhouse. And pretty much, all of it had to go. It took an entire week and countless trips to Goodwill, recycling, and Poppy's house to clear out the room. While we had time, energy, and my flat belly, we decided to get the painting done. Also, I was more excited about the animal wall stickers than anything else. So, of course, we had to get painting to get those stickers up. Girl or boy, we went with a nice blue because it matched the theme. We painted one wall blue and the others got a fresh coat of white. It turned out the white had a bluish tint, but it turned out to look good anyway. It was exhausting! The final product was a room that was adorable. The wall stickers really pop! Since Mike does not like rocking chairs, we went in search of an alternative. We found a very comfy brown upholstered chair. The best part was, it fit in the Jeep to get it home. And what can make midnight, 2am, 4am, and 6am feedings a little better?

We found a flat screen TV to entertain us through those long nights. Gammie's gift to us and baby was a crib. Mike and I, very luckily, have similar tastes, and it was easy to pick one we both really liked. We also picked out fabric for the curtains and Gammie stitched them together. We painted blocks that spell out the name we chose for the baby, but of course we are keeping that name a secret until D-day (also known as June 3rd). We hope the kid likes animals, because we plan on milking this theme as long as we can!
