Nolan Reed Goorsky

Nolan Reed Goorsky was born at 6:09 pm on June 10, 2011. After all that worrying Tif did, he was born on 6/9, just the minute, not the day. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. and his height was 20 inches. I got to hold him for Tif as she was still in surgery and we kept his name a surprise all the way up to after he was born. When they got him out, they said his cord was wrapped around his neck so it was great he was a C-section baby. His Apgar scores were 7 then 9 and he had a bit of Mom's fever after delivery. I went down up to the nursery with him and Tif stayed in surgery. We fed Nolan his first bottle and he sucked it down! He got about an ounce in 3 minutes and gave a great burp, just not for Dad. I left him about an hour after birth to go down with Tif, who was drugged and so glad to see a familiar face. She didn't want me to leave her at all again until we were up in the room which was an hour or two after birth. The next time we will see Nolan is on our way to the room and then in the room later.
